I’ve Googled my arse off, but there any no such thing as too much information when it comes to a business venture. Anyone out there have suggestions on how I should begin? May I suggest picking up a copy of Websites for Dummies ? Read through it before building your site or hiring someone to do it for you. The book is easy to navigate, explains the jargon used when designing a website. The book is easy to navigate and VERY informatitive.
There are many websites out there who offer free templates, all you have to do is fill in the information you want to see on your website & VOILA! Within a few hours you are up & Running.

Personally, I feel that templates are too generic & sterile looking. You will find them used over & over again on multiple websites, with only slight variations. You want your website to be the one that stands out from all others in your industry. Business (Brand) identity is criticle to the making or breaking of a business.
You may also want to check out your competitions websites. Note what you do & don’t like about the sites. This will help guide you in the right direction when developing your website.
